Well, that was fast!! I could have sworn it was just yesterday that we were walking our of the hospital wondering what the h--- we had gotten ourselves into, and what we were going to do with a little baby. It certainly has been an eventful year, and we've certainly learned a lot.
Last Thursday the 5th was Katie's first birthday, although we didn't have the party until Saturday. We had about 25 friends and family at the house -- mostly family. It was great to have all the Gaylor cousins in one place. We even managed to corral them together for a group photo.
The party was a blast, and considering how many people were there, Katie did quite remarkable. She seems to really enjoy having lots of people to look at and interact with. I don't think she cried once, although she looked like she might when we started to sing her happy birthday. :-)
What a wonderful year this has been. So many firsts. So many great moments. We look forward to what year two has to offer.
