Up 2 Date

Oh, the irony of blogging is that the hardest part is figuring out what to write :-). We've had a wonderful February so far. After so much rain and cold and dark this winter we finally had a solid week of fairly good weather. That means SUNSHINE!! Deanna and I even managed to get out to play golf over the weekend (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!). Katie has been doing great. There is no hiding the fact that she's a pretty good eater -- all you have to do is look at her chubby cheeks to see that. She is now eating solids at least twice a day, and really loving it. While she makes some pretty funny faces at some foods (green beans and cottage cheese come to mind), she manages to eat pretty much all of it.

She's standing a lot lately, and it seems to be her favorite thing to do. She's somewhat mobile in that she'll go from sitting to rolling in a flash and roll to something she's interested in. Crawling doesn't seem to be in the cards -- not sure if that's because he belly is in the way, or if she just prefers rolling. But standing is where it is at, and she loves to stand up at her Leap Frog activity table for extended periods, and has even figured out how to balance herself against the table using her chest and belly so that she has both arms free to play. It wouldn't surprise me to see her skip crawling all together and just start walking around the room.

Here are some pictures from the last week or so. I'll skip the embedded slideshow, and just have you click on the picture of Max and Katie to see the full screen version.
