We had Katie's 2 month checkup last week. We assumed there would be shots, and boy were we right. Our poor little Katie had to have 3 shots, all in her thighs. I don't know if it was more traumatic for Katie, or for us. She cried like crazy for a couple of minutes, but calmed down pretty quickly, and was only a little fussy over the next couple of days. She's a trooper.
Her new weight is just over 12 pounds, and she's now 22 inches tall (she was born at 7 lb, 2 oz, and 20 inches). While her weight was in the 90th percentile, her height was only in the 70th percentile or so. Go figure :-)
She's smiling and talking so much more these days, and I think she's about to start rolling over. She's really enjoying her tummy time now, and is able to keep herself propped up for several minutes at a time (or about as long as it takes to run to get the camera). Deanna took Katie on a play date with some friends of hers on Saturday. They went to a "made for mommies" restaurant that has a play area in the middle of it. Deanna really enjoyed it, so I suspect that we'll visit again soon.
Here are a few more pictures. Nothing in particular, but you can see the band-aids that the nurses used for the shots, as well as how crusty Daddy gets when he doesn't have to go visit customers for a few days... Ha!
