We had our first wedding anniversary on July 15th. It's quite hard to believe that it has already been a year. New marriage, new house, new baby... Phew! -- Quite a year. Deanna had the idea to celebrate our first anniversary at the Edgefield Resort, where we got married last July. Because the hotel was booked on our wedding night and eve, we didn't actually get a chance to stay there last year.

So we booked a room for this year, and dropped Katie off at Grandma and Grandpa Gaylor for the night. We had an awesome time. Once we arrived, we went straight to the winery and enjoyed a tasting of some Edgefield red wines. We had an interesting chat with a couple of guys there -- Steve (or was it FRANK! :-) and his friend who's name I can't remember. By the looks of things they had been there quite some time. We then had a snack in the courtyard followed by a bluegrass concert in one of the parks. It turned out to be a beautiful day, with just enough breeze to make it comfortable. We tried to go see SpiderMan 3, but only made it about 40 minutes into it before leaving. Let's just say it wasn't quite as good as we were hoping.
The following morning we had a nice breakfast and then hit the golf links. We started really missing Katie, and left after 16 holes so that we could go pick her up.
The artwork that I took pictures of is all over the hotel walls, door, ceiling and hallways. I can't imagine how long it took to do all the artwork. The last few pictures are of Deanna getting her golf on. Her short game, both chipping and putting, were just amazing that day.
